John is active in his support of the real estate industry as a past director of the Portland Metro Association of REALTORS® and a current trustee for PMAR’s REALTOR® Political Action Committee.

He is also heavily involved in the community, to say the least. He has volunteered with Transition Projects and SMART Reading programs and has served as a Parks & Rec Commissioner and foundation trustee. Additionally, he has served as an Economic Development Committee Member and is currently on the Board of Directors for Arabian Horse Rescue & Education. His downtime pursuits include fishing, gardening, camping, and playing the guitar.
